Erlangen has always been the place of birth of all digital products and due to the close cooperation with Fraunhofer Institut IIS, the location Erlangen was always the first choice. Erlangen is now the location where development, production, support and international sales take place.
In the last 3 years Weinberger reduced its enterprise from 4 to 2 locations:
1. The sales department of Weinberger Deutschland GmbH in Karlsruhe was closed in 2004 was moved to Erlangen. Weinberger Deltronics GmbH and Weinberger Deutschland GmbH became one enterprise.
2. In 2007 sales for Germany has been outsourced with the staff most of you know very well. Reiner Hauptmann, Jörn Knieriemen and Heiner Ramsbott teamed up for Weinberger exclusive sales in Germany as High Speed Vision GmbH.
3. Weinberger built up international sales and support in Erlangen, with new ties to the eastern Europe states and Russia as well as South-America.
4. Weinberger AG in Switzerland will from now on remain the holding of the 2 locations: Weinberger Deutschland GmbH and Weinberger Vision Technology Corp, Grand Blanc, Mi, USA
This consolidation of the Weinberger group shall maximise Weinberger's effectiveness in all its business activities in the future.
